All the sketches and drawings that you see on this blog will always be done in the spirit of the Urban Sketchers Manifesto.
- The drawing will always be done on location and not from photos or memory.
- The location of the sketch (town and state/country) is always stated in
- the headline
- or the caption
- or, if Flickr is used, the image is placed on the artist's public Flickr map.
- There will be no sketches from figure drawing sessions or posed models.
Urban Sketchers Manifesto...and in London, we show London one drawing at a time!
- We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
- Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
- Our drawings are a record of time and place.
- We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
- We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
- We support each other and draw together. We share our drawings online.
- We show the world, one drawing at a time.
