Welcome to Urban Sketchers London!

This is the blog of London's Urban Sketchers. Posting starts on 1st March 2012

All the sketches and drawings that you see on this blog will always be done in the spirit of the Urban Sketchers Manifesto.
  • The drawing will always be done on location and not from photos or memory.
  • The location of the sketch (town and state/country) is always stated in
    • the headline
    • or the caption
    • or, if Flickr is used, the image is placed on the artist's public Flickr map.
  • There will be no sketches from figure drawing sessions or posed models.
Urban Sketchers Manifesto
  1. We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
  2. Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
  3. Our drawings are a record of time and place.
  4. We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
  5. We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
  6. We support each other and draw together. We share our drawings online.
  7. We show the world, one drawing at a time.
...and in London, we show London one drawing at a time!
